Lebanon enjoys a Mediterranean climate; (hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters). Temperatures vary according to seasons and regions, but they are most often pleasant even in the winter period.

The currency of Lebanon is Lebanese Pound (called Lira) - 1 US Dollar equals LL 1507. Master cards, American Express, Diners Club and Visa credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Banks / change offices at the airport or hotels will gladly exchange your money into Lebanese pounds. Transactions can be made in US dollars too.
